Roster is here to stay unfortunately. The challenge case that got rid of Microstamping (at least temporarily before it comes back with a vengeance) was our best shot at getting rid of it and amazingly, it was ruled that the roster is Constitutional, even though we know its not.Last edited by Capybara; 04-09-2026, 2:57 PM.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

And they are rare as hens teeth to find used being sold here. I think I've seen perhaps one PPT here since it was introduced.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

Same here! When Springfield first released the SA-35, I kept checking to see if it was on the roster so I could run to my nearest dealer and drop the cash for one.
Grandfathered Hi-Powrers seem to sell for a lot in California, so there must be a demand, right?
Cannot understand why Springfield doesn’t get the SA-35 on the roster. All they’d have to do is add back the magazine discount (which is part of the original design anyway), put a little witness hole (like they already do on the California 1911s), and block off the magazine for 10 rounds.

If EAA Girsan High Power MC P35 can be made and listed on roster, why Springfield?
Maybe worry about it will eat into its 1911 9mm business. For all intended purpose, JMB next gen 1911 was the High Power. It improved all the perceive issues with 1911 in a smaller package. Unless you are a 1911 fan, shopping for a metal frame, single action 9mm, it would be High Power.
Maybe they will reconsider once the National sales for SA-35 drops (saturated the market), then they will apply for the roster.👍 1Comment

The Argentines previously made Hi Power "Detective" pistols with shortened barrels and slides measuring 3.9 inches.

I have a 1968 Belgium made T- series Browning Hi-power 9mm, and I take it out to the range every so often, it keeps working, even with the 56 + year old magazine, it’s a good well balanced pistol. If EAA Girsan High Power MC P35 can be made and listed on roster, why Springfield?

I don’t know why the OG pistol was dropped, or why Springfield dropped any plans with selling its pistol to ca - ya bastids 🤨, Yeah yeah we all know that ca is a pita, but we have a lot of gunners here. The idea is to sell, well we are ready to buy.
Mfg’s think they have a hard time ( making firearms legal for ca ) Hey buddy we also have to jump through some insane hoops just to get what we want. 🤨

I think springfoeld.is watching the sales numbers for the Turkish hi power that tisas or girsan got added to the roster.
springfield isnt optics ready so that does cut down the market. I too would love to see springfield add it. Id buy one of the full size and one of the 4". I have a 4" detecticlve slide. Fun to shoot and is well balanced.
Also I wanna see the fn high power get added, but I don't see that happening.Comment

That’s because you can get a real FN Herstal produced BHP from the 80s near NIB for what our beloved corps of exempt LEO resellers demand for a copy with inferior parts.Comment

Putting a dot on a BHP is tantamount to putting one on a GI 1911; you just don’t do it.😂I think springfoeld.is watching the sales numbers for the Turkish hi power that tisas or girsan got added to the roster.
