    Techniques on shooting

Anyone know of good vids showing/teaching shooting techniques? When I went to the range yesterday I completely sucked and I could've sworn it was a the gun, LOL. I then had my friend shoot my Scorpion 1911 and he was accurate as usual. I thought it was weird because my last time at the range I felt like a sharp shooter.

Not a video but I found this somewhere a while back and haven't had a chance to fully go through it yet:

    Seems like good info though.

check out Todd Jarret videos on youtube. Probably a lot better out there, but seems like everyone has watched his.

BrianEnos.com, or google up any of USPSA Grand Masters, David Sevigny, Micheal Voigt, Taran Butler, they all have vides on the fundamentals of stance, grip, sight picture and trigger control.

This clip alone helped me tame my glock 23.

There are so many good ones out there. Mind if I toss out a couple of questions before I bombard you with links? Might help narrow the kinds of links you get from the rest of us if we can diagnose what you're seeing and feeling with the gun.

How long have you been shooting?

What kind of trouble are you having? (inconsistent groups? consistent groups in one direction? flinching? trouble seeing target? not comfortable with grip?)

What kind of shooting are you doing where you're seeing problems? (Slow fire focus groups? Rapid fire drills?)

I would highly recommend the videos from Paul Gomez also...but they are mostly about fighting with a pistol.

Honestly the best thing you can do to improve your shooting is to get some formal instructuon. You can correct a lot more problems in person than while wayching a video
