weird question about the glock sound is it just me

you know that sound when you put a barrel into a glock slide is it unique to glock i dont really have many other to compare i have a s&w and sig 9 and they dont make that sound when the barrel goes in the slide

i was watching a you tube video and heard someone change a barrel in a gun and i swear i can tell if its a glock just by the sound of inserting the barrel in the slide

anyone out there with a xd or other wondernines or 40s that can see if they sound like a glock or is this just me late night internetin

Sort of a 'clinky-clank' sound, you mean?

Hold on a second there. I know what he meant.

Glock slides make that sharp, clean, crisp "cling" sound rather than other guns which make a more duller, lower-pitched "clunk" sound.

I noticed it but never paid much attention.

Sounds like the op is one step away from checking into Patton state hospital soon

I think what the OP is talking about is the sound the barrel makes if you've ever dropped the gun on carpet. Terrible mistake. Hopefully it isn't ruined because you can't get Glocks anymore behind enemy lines.

It's because most areas of the Glock slides are machined thinner than many other semi-auto pistols. They are nearly sheet steel gage.
