A lot of people waiting on a lot of metal frame guns to hit the roster. I was tired of plastic 15 years ago.

Looks like smith and wesson is finally offering optics ready slides to us California folks.. I'm guessing that god awful lci that we get on the current 2.0 will be gone

Wonder if that's why the current m&p prices been dropping. Turners has the compact on sale...

Anyone shot one of the metal models? They all get pretty strong reviews in the press. I've become quite a Smith fan boy, I have the Shield 1.0, Shield Plus, M&P 12, Model 17, Model 625, Smith guns are just so well made and shoot so nicely.

Looking at the S&W website, their 'standard' Metal 2.0 Full Size model (SKU 13194) shows the optics plate and there doesn't appear to be enough space between the plate and the chamber for an LCI. It does appear to have the small 'hole' where a person could look and see if there's a cartridge in the chamber.
Sure is a nice lookin' pistol!

The lci will probably end up looking like the sig 320 lci or possibly on the extractor like the hk vp9. I just put a deposit on one this morning at Turners

I'm in the South Bay area, so no Turners close to where I live. Will look forward to your 'range report' once you take delivery of your 2.0 Metal!

                            Was thinking the same.
They did not print on "Loaded When Up" on optic plate...on Barrel ?
