Flashlight mount for non picatany railed revolvers

I've been thinking of mounting a flashlight on one of my revolvers, none of which has a rail for doing so. Ideally my model 60 snubby, but am open to suggestions. TIA all.

Seems like companies tried to sell these and they were not successful enough to continue trying to sell them:

      Then there's this idea:
I'm not aware of any good WML options for revolvers. I was fiddling around and turns out a TLR-6 for a Glock 43 will kinda sorta fit on a j-frame, so seems like it would be possible to make a housing that fits properly: 43564 43565 43566

Thanks guys, looks like I'll have to get a new revolver that is more friendly for the mounting of a light. I didn't want to what with the extortion tax among other fees mandated by the state. Unless I find one on the used market.....

So is there a revolver with a picatinny on the underside preferably a .357 mag with a 3"-4" barrel?

There's another recent link: https://www.calguns.net/forum/firear...azy-s-w-m-p-r8 that shows a very nice M&P with a flashlight mount.

Thanks TAS, I thought I'd seen one somewhere. I go looking.

Gunsmith could fit short rail under barrel...could machine to match contours

That's an idea cuda. I really didn't want to buy another firearm what with all those extortion taxes. But another option if I do have to get another firearm is the Ciappa Rhino. It may be cheaper than the Smith and besides, I've been eyeing them since they came out.

I solved this issue in the 80’s. The academy and decades of in-service and additional paid by me training, taught me how to use a handheld flashlight when shooting a revolver and later a semi-auto. Smaller lights made it easier. It’s really not that difficult. Hopefully you don’t want to mount a light on a gun and use it as a flashlight.

Yes, I've come to that conclusion. While I've seen various iterations on clamping on systems there aren't any that I saw that permit the opening of the cylinder especially on snubbies.
