Glock 17c

Planning on buying a glock 17c before the ban hits. Is 17c noticeably soft shooting compared to G17?

Per Turners, glock has discontinued 17c and they are selling for $649 plus tax and other crap.

Do you think its worth?

I got one last month, last one the store had and none in the warehouse. Haven't shot it yet and got a 19c today ordered from warehouse to be DROS next Saturday. Ghost trigger updates for both with extended mag release, slide release and magwell update.

as tempting as the 17c is, I didnt want to pay another $120 on top of the g17 price. I ordered a G17 from turners last friday and go DROS it this friday. let us know how it shoots!

I have the 40 version, 23c. Yes to me it's worth it. Big recoil reduction on the 40.

I had the 19c and still have the 17c. Prefer the full size version, thought it shot better for me with a reduction in felt recoil. Good choice on the 17c, you need to get out and shoot it.

I'm excited to buy the springfield echelon 4.0c comp.

It will be interesting to shoot them side by side.

Don't have any Glock compensated pistols but I do carry a M&P Shield Plus PC that is ported. I am replacing the ported barrel with a non ported barrel because I really dislike porting and compensators after shooting it for a few thousand rounds.
Much louder, makes the front of your pistol filthy after five rounds and I would estimate the muzzle flip reduction at about 5% improvement. IMHO, porting is just this years fad. Strongly suggest you shoot one before buying one if you can?
Don't get one just because everyone else is getting one, think for yourself and decide if it's worth it and makes sense for you and your needs and style. For me, I'll never buy another ported or comped pistol, I think they're lame.

Porting, yes, but comps seem to have just exploded the past year, everyone went nuts and decided that they HAVE to buy a comped pistol. To me, they are kind of the same.

I cannot attest to the 17c, but my 20c (10mm) feels like I’m shooting a nine. Best extra $100 I ever spent. Way less recoil than even a G22 (.40cal).

My guess is that the 17c would feel close to a 22 for felt recoil. Spend the extra few bucks.
