    M&P 2.0 9c magazines

Hello, I purchased a M&P 2.0 9c and I am waiting to pick it up. I do have an old or original M&P 40c, I have seen some references to M&P 1.0, so I guess that is what that is. I was looking at ordering the Magazine floorplates with the finger rest extension. The ones I have found are for the original M&P c or the 1.0. The description actually says they will not fit the 2.0 magazines. I did read on Midwayusa's website that people were mentioning that on the 2.0 magazines there would be a gap between the magazine and floor plate. I cannot find any of them made to fit 2.0 magazines.
So, I was curious if anyone has a 2.0 or any knowledge on the subject if they could let me know if there are any of those plates made for 2.0 and where. Lastly, if anyone has one and knows if the 1.0 magazines fit in a 2.0 handgun.

    Thank you,

The M&P 2.0 Compacts grip lengths are different from the 1.0 Compacts. The 1.0 Compacts are comparable to the 2.0 Subcompacts. The 2.0 Compact grips are long enough to likely not need a pinky extension like the 1.0s. The M&P9C in 2.0 holds 15 rounds whereas the 1.0 held only 12. (13 rounds vs 10 rounds in .40)

Full size mags (17 rounds 9mm, 15 rounds.40/.357) will fit any size M&P 1.0 or 2.0 (not any Shield variant) with some of the mag sticking out the bottom (not flush). You can use XGrips to span the gap. 1.0 compact mags will fit the 2.0 subcompact but no other model. If the 2.0 is new, it may come with sleeves to fill the gap if you use full size mags (at least, they used to).

Thank you, that actual puts it all in prospective, and I have a better understanding. Sounds like I will not need the pinky extension. I was guilty of thinking the 2.0 grip was close in size to my old 1.0. I look forward to receiving it and actually seeing the difference. It actually arrives today, I hope.

      Thank you,

      Jay
