    XDm frame reduction

I've got some pretty small mitts, and I've been considering buying then doing a grip reduction on an XDm. I am specifically interested in how much material there is in the area of the frame on either side of the grip safety. It seems like that's the spot where a reduction would provide a shorter trigger reach, as opposed to just shaving down the grip's circumference. To clarify, I'm talking about this spot here (not my picture):

Does anyone know how much material, if any, can be removed from that area? Anyone try it?

I have not done that area. Might be a little thin there, I would not do it. I did shave a bit off of the "beaver tail" area, because it hurts my knuckle when i shoot, but it seems like there is more material there then in the area you are talking about. Just remember if you go too far you can't take it back, lol. Good luck.

I also read one of the trigger kits also moves the trigger engagement point back a little. I believe it was Springer precision’s kit. But this is just what I read, I have no actual experience with it. If what I read was accurate, that could be a solution for you.
I wear a medium glove, and my wife has smaller hands then I do. The XDm fits both our hands fine with the medium back strap.

Also, pick up a Walther PPQ if you get a chance. Makes the XDm feel like a Glock
