    Need Shot Timer Recommendations

I am looking for a shot timer for IDPA training.

I am open to any and all suggestions - what do you have - what do you like and more importantly dislike about it - .

I looked at downloaded for IPhone / IPad - - can't see the darn screen in bright sunlight (on the range).

    Thanks

I have the PACT Club Timer. I don't like that you adjust sensitivity via screw while the other timers are adjusted via buttons.

Depends on use. For the range the ced 7000 is such a nice compact package, works great. When we compete, we always use the pocket pro 11. Just a little bigger and easier to see on a sunny day.

The CED 7000 has more trick stuff on it but most shooters like the Pocket Pro better because you don't have to reset it each time and it is much easier to read. I also have on old RUREADY timer, which is a great clock, but no one likes the release trigger.

Personal use - CED7000. Compact size, easy to use, great functionality, rechargeable. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...d7000&_sacat=0

Competition use - Pocket Pro. Large screen that is easy for scorekeeper to read.

Stay away from the Pocket Pro II, our club bought 7 of them a few years ago, 4 of them had to be sent back for repairs in the first 4 months. The displays is what were giving us problems. I would get the Pocket Pro.

I have the CED 7000. It's real nice.

You'd have better results in the competition forum. Or on www.brianenos.com

                  Do some searches there.

I have the the Pocket Pro II and am very happy with it.

Easy to read the big numbers, easy to access the string in case you lost your final time. Easy to set par time and random/ instataneous start.

Only had it for a year, so can't speak on longevity too much, but no issue thus far.

Not so fast. There is no better timer for ease of use and durability as the Pocket Pro 1

Where are you at? If you're in Socal, theres a guy who's a calguns sponsor who sells them at a pretty good price.

IIRC, he has both the pocketpro and the CD7000s for sale.
                            Great guy to work with.
