I've been watching CG for six months and I've only seen one Gen 3 g19, which has to be among the most popular. One G5 and one G4. If you are seeing gen 3s, please forward to me.

Because as their hands got tougher they then could handle the “ punishing “ recoil of the 9mm round 🤣🤣 without the afterburner !!

Just think if they shot 45acp or 10mm ~ Whoooo might make your head spin !! 😳 😟

I’ve noticed them too but think they were mostly for Sigs

They're nice comps and they work.. but in an indoor range you get substantially more noise. And I wouldn't use a comped gun for self defense.

You mean all the brand new ones on Gun Broker? I've only seen one on here.

I have a Gen 5 Afterburner for sale because I got a G47 upper which I've told myself delivers "enough" similar performance in the same form factor. But honestly I'm having second thoughts about selling it because it is just so fun and fast.

They are a very well-executed design, CA-compliant, and do work well, particularly when paired with the DPM captured spring optimized for it. Slightly more accurate for a shooter good enough to use that. Just deletes recoil so easier to focus on shooting problems. Also easy to remove for cleaning etc (although I typically don't.)

As for carrying it, I have no reservations. I've had two Ramjet/Afterburner setups, one for carry and one for training. I've put a good amount of 147gr HST through both. I typically shoot ~300 rounds of 147gr Federal AE in a range session including 50 support-hand only. I always clean and lube my carry gun after practice sessions. The training gun went 1500 rounds without any cleaning or lube(!) before having a failure to feed, and I believe that was due to underloaded ammo (last 800 leading up to the FTF was during a JBS class where I used 147gr Remington UMC).

Actually I think I just talked my self into keeping it! Thanks!
