I have a lightweight snubnose 85. It's worked fine for me. I don't shoot it all the time (lightweight snubbies aren't that much fun) but I'm pretty accurate with it and I've had no trouble, am confident it will go bang and send rounds downrange if I need it to.

I am considering the ultralight.44 mag for an AK backpacking trip.

Snubnose 85, great gun. I love it. Shoots flawlessly, is very accurate, and even my 20 year old daughter likes it.
I always hear bad things about taurus, but I am very happy with mine.

I hear so many mixed reviews but also a lot of gun snobs that just don't like Taurus. When the 24/7 came out, it got gun of the year by a couple magazines but they just never went anywhere. The OSS edition came out and it went nowhere. Taurus gets no love, but I would own a whole bunch of their revolvers as well as their 1911, Millennium Pro, and 24/7 models. I figure if it is something that breaks, send it back in and they'll fix or replace it anyway. Warranty is pretty decent.

Another all steel snub nose owner, no problems, this thing is old and has shot at least 1500 rounds. Never a problem, would and do depend upon it. Purchased it many years ago at Traders in San Leandro for like 150.00 it was a deal. Its my wife's favorite pistol due to small grip and ease of use.

I have/had two 627 Trackers and a 589 (a copy of S&W 586). The only problem I've had with them was with the rear sight on one of the Trackers - it fell off after the first .357 round. A trip to Taurus (paid by them both ways), and it was fixed. Haven't had any other problems with them. Not sure on the combined round count on them, it's somewhere around 6K, I think, most of it on one of the Trackers (the one with the rear sight issue above).

Now, for the good stuff. The trigger on both Trackers was great out of the box. The trigger on the 589 is better, but it got a trigger job. All three are utterly reliable and very accurate. The 589 is my backpacking/shooting in the desert/generally beat around gun (either that, or a Glock 29). It's dispatched its share of snakes and larger critters that were in the wrong place at the wrong time (i.e. threatening my niece). One of the Trackers is my ex-girlfriend's go-to gun. Both of us have many other guns, so we wouldn't use these, if we didn't trust them.

I've read many mixed reviews on Tauruses, but I guess, I got lucky - all of mine were great (I also have their lever-action in .357 mag/.38 special and a PT-22).

                  I have a 44mag raging bull with a 6.5 inch barrel.
It has a loose pin for the rear sight that tends to loosen out a bit after shooting a lot and the machining marks left on the stainless gun makes it look a bit industrial.
But the gun fits really well and shoots really well. So for the price I paid, I think it's a great deal.

Had a Tracker and loved it. Very accurate. This is just my opinion but I think the Tracker and Raging Bull line are just the sexiest looking revolvers out there. Love the barrel design and porting.

I have a 415 - 2.5" barreled, 20 oz ported titanium 41 Magnum and it functions perfectly. I had an older 85 and it worked fine. Have one of their 22 rifles and had to replace a part or two. I'd make certain whatever Taurus you may buy is checked to ensure proper function.

I've had a Model 65 .357 Mag for more than 10 years, great gun.
Is my S&W tighter, yes, does it make a difference in accuracy, no
