RIA MAP1 vs AP9 CA roster question

From what I understand, Armscor (ria) rebranded the AP9 FS pistol to the MAP1 FS pistol as of a year or so ago. It is the exact same pistol. The AP9 FS is on the roster, but the MAP1 isn't listed by name.

Does that mean I couldn't purchase a MAP1 normally (not through SSE OR PPT) ? I'm assuming so, but say it ain't sooooo

If they reboxed it with the new name.. FFL/LGS will problaby not let it fly.
