    **Beware another shady Calgunner**

    Sorry for the novel...

So, I preface this story with the fact I was a dumbass to send a check to someone I didn't know personally, anyways....

Back in Feb. I was looking for some more ammo for my 9mm. I love bulletmans' 9mm and there was a member here that decided to do ammo runs and deliver it to save some on shipping. This sounded like a great idea at the time. So I contacted him via txt and he said no problem he was doing a run at the end of the week and to send him the check and meet him on Friday. Sounds good, I texted him on Thurs night to confirm and he said he couldn't do it on Friday, but the next Friday would be fine, so alas I waited until Thurs night, text him and he said once again he was not able to do the pickup.

This is where my red flag goes up, I just requested my check for 265$ back and all would be good. At this point the communications stop. The check has already been cashed, and I can not get a hold of this person at all.

A couple weeks go by with phone calls, texts, no response. Then all of the sudden I get a text saying "**** has been in an accident, this is his wife, I will try to get your money to you" so I was content and sent my condolences to the family. I backed off as I knew there was a lot going on.

Another month goes by and 10 more texts just saying "hey let me know what is up, if you need more time or whatever." I finally get a response "**** has passed away from his injuries, please bear with us."

No problem, this is a tragedy for a family and once again I sent my condolences. I was then told "I am giving your info to ****'s brother to handle getting you your money back"

Fine, no biggie, except now the brother tells me after April 15th I can get you your money back.

Ok, I waited until April 20th and once again sent a text "hey any update on my money?" and no responses.

Fast forward to last week, I have my FNP9 listed in the for sale section, and i get a response from "5.56in6.61" asking if I want to trade a AR15 for my fnp9. I said text me pics please and the number pops up as the same guy I had been dealing with for a while now. So I ask, "where is my $$$?" He says "I am selling my SIG and can give you cash after I sell it" well that was over a week ago and now after 10 more texts and a couple pms no more contact again.....

I know that family tragedies happen saddly and I feel I gave ample time. I am all for Calgunners transactions, and as you can see I have 100% positive iTrader, this has just been one shady nightmare and I hope none of you go through this with this one bad apple.

Addition to the story, I just saw on bulletman911s thread he is asking to buy some .223 ammo... As of 2 days ago... What a s***bag

Sooo... he's a zombie now? Otherwise, it sounds kind of like he gave you a fake story about being dead in the hopes that you would just go away so that he could avoid paying you back.

I had a RIA tactical 9mm for sale recently and calguns member 5.56in6.61 offered to trade me his BCM AR for it. He was rather persistent actually, and I trusted my gut and passed on the offer, it felt suspicious. I sold it to another calgunners for much less the value of a BCM AR.

And then I see this the next day. I am glad I trusted my gut.

What a POS! I can't stand scammers at all. Why can't these kind of people work hard for their $ like the majority? I hope you get your $ back...
