    CA Roster p365 xmacro compatibility

I'm very familiar with Glocks, but new to p365's. I picked up the CA roster p365 Xmacro comp and was wondering, putting aside the manual safety & mag disconnect, is the slide compatible with an XL grip module? I'm going to be adding it to my CCW and since 17 rounds mags are no go, makes more sense to have the shorter XL grip with its 10 round mag.

As long as the grip module is cut for the manual safety and the mag disconnect, it should work.
Standard Sig grip modules won't be cut for the mag disconnect.
You can remove the disconnect if you want but your IA may not allow that.
I do the mag disconnect cuts all the time for people that need to keep the disconnect.

It does? Maybe with tiny feminine hands. The macro grip is much better. Some modules will come with the safety cut already and little lines where to cut the disconnect. I would just leave it, put some grip tape and calll it a day.

Are you planning to run the mags that came with the Macro, or are you going to buy the XL 10 rounders at $45+ each? With the cost of Sig mags I'd just leave it be. There are companies that make sleeves to fill the gap between the Macro mag and the XL, but that's not going to make any size difference in the grip, and they never look quite right.

Already bought some XL mags. They're actually cheaper than xmacro mags.

The xmacro grip is actually longer than G19, which is my current carry. You don't worry about dimensions until it's on you at all times and you're concerned about concealment.

Feels good in the hand, but a little snappy. I took my CCW renewal course over the weekend and when I shot the G19 and xmacro back to back, it was noticeable. Then again, I probably have over 10k rounds through the G19 (numerous training courses) and I've also made many upgrades. Xmacro trigger feels mushy as well, but to be expected from a stock striker fired pistol. I have some upgrades in mind for it so I'll see how it works afterwards.

Went back out on the range with the xmacro. This time also shot some +P. Didn't feel snappy. Maybe I'm getting used to it or maybe it was because I didn't shoot the G19 as well.

Try shooting 147 grain—you’ll notice the difference. Isn’t that what we carry?

Mine took a little while to break in.

Don't worry, it's NOT BROKEN!!!!!!!!!!! While dry firing it will feel like it's impossible to rack the slide. This eventually breaks in. I realized when at the shop I never did rack it myself. The sales guy did (trickster). You have to overly muscle it, and if you don't know you need to do that you'll think it's broken (Google it, it's a thing).

Otherwise I am rather pleased with it. It shoots MUCH better than my G43. The trigger is head and shoulders better. Capacity is better, AND it is red dot ready. You don't even need an adapter plate for a Holosun/RMR. It mounts right to the slide.

I can rack the slide without any problems. However, once I lock the slide back, I can't release it if I have a mag inserted. Need to remove the mag, release the slide, then re-insert the mag and pull the trigger.

Can't tell if this is a function of the mag disconnect or break in.

Never had this issue with a Glock.
