Hot damn! That's great news. I've been eyeing the PDP for a good two years. Thanks for the update, much appreciated!

Heard about it a few days ago right after they updated the roster. My best friend has been dying to buy one for years he almost got taken by all the scalpers selling the off roster version. Trying to get get double the retail price now they are stuck with them. Luckily the one a few weeks ago that he almost bought the sale fell through because the seller flaked. Guess now in the classifieds we will be people dumping them for much cheaper prices.

There is one in the Marketplace now for $900. If you consider your time and possible part replacement for eliminating the MDM, $900 isn't outrageous. Also you get to eff you to Gav Boy's 11% excise and not pay sales tax.
I just got back from laying down my deposit on the Compact at Turners. Gav Boy screwed me on this one.

Good times! One of the best shooters out there!
California now has HK VP9s, PDPs, SIGs P320/P365...
Now all you need is treaded barrels and suppressors to be legal.

I just put a deposit at my LGS for a Full-Size. I gladly pay a little more so I don't have to DROS with Turners.

I remain cautiously optimistic, the guy who helped me and took my deposit was actually decent for a Turners employee. Fast, efficient and had correct answers.

I've had the PDP Compact since 2021 and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The Compact is about 1/2 way between a G17 and G19 so it really isn't too small. You can fit your entire hand on the grip. The trigger is fantastic and the reset is positive and short. Of all my recent guns, the PDP probably has the best trigger although the Canik TP9SF I tried out at an Academy Sports may have been slightly better although not worth buying another 9mm worth it.

Putting a red dot on the gun makes accuracy so easy it almost feels like cheating. I put the solar panel Holosun 407C X2 30/2 MOA red dot on it. I now prefer the non-solar version on my pistols because it has a semi built in rear sight that can be used as a BUIS in case the reflex does not work. I also find that the Green Dot/Circle is easier to pick up for me. I don't like the ACSS Vulcan monster circle. Finding the 30 MOA circle with the dot is very easy to pick up.

I'm curious what the co-witness situation is with the Holosun SCS? That's the one that fits onto the pistol with no plate. I just put it on my VP9L and it co-witnesses with the factory sights. I would think the Walther version does as well? I will likely trade out the factory irons for something TruGlo and then decide if I want an optic on the Walther. Do you carry your Walther? My G17 is too large to carry even though its on my CCW, it gouges me in the side when I sit down or drive (3:00 position). Wonder if the Walther is small enough to not do that?

I was told the same by my LGS. Distributor is expected to start shipping in May 2025.

                        Great!

You got a sale if it’s easy to remove the magazine disconnect and the “loaded when” text isn’t
too obnoxious (talking to you HK).

Hopefully defeating the MD is as easy the SA Hellcat..

I am hoping those "safety" features will be as easy to unneuter as in a Sig P365

These guns are mechanically pretty simple, shouldn't be to difficult to un-neuter it by getting rid of the MDM. The CLI doesn't bug me that much, I carried a Shield V 1.0 for seven years and it's CLI was obnoxiously huge but in the end, you just ignore it.

Anyone know a good shop in the east bay that will have these asap? Would like to put a deposit. Avoiding turners.
