Sig "Flux" whatchamahcallit seems all wrong.

Check out SIG SAUER, INC. P320 FLUX LEGION 9MM LUGER SEMI-AUTO HANDGUN available Online at Brownells Today and many more Semi Auto Handguns products are available in our Guns Department.

If its that big, with extra grip and brace, why only 3.9" barrel?
I get the idea of having extra 30rd stick as also extra grip, but seems like trigger guard needlessly interferes with it, and why not make front grip/mag holder function as grip same with or without mag? Should barrel be at least as long as bodywork under the barrel, and for such a tacticool piece shouldn't it be dialed in for silencer with threaded barrel?

Straight slide stock is OK, but one comment complains. Is sliding stock even infinately adjustable? Don't think so. Maybe a top or bottom folder would be better, with a dail-in stop so it quick deploys to your precise best angle.

Seems like whole concept might be better done as a kit that fits over an existing stand alone pistol.

There is no front grip... That would be a violation pistol having a 2nd grip. Its just the frame with ability to store a 2nd magazine. There is no stock, that's a brace. Also slide can be replaced with different length and barrel replaced with threaded version. (more sales for Sig)

It is a kit... Just replacement of the frame. But why sell the frame only when Sig can make more money sell it as a whole package?

Cool toy... but at $1500, meh...

You do know that this is a collaboration between Sig and Flux Defense who makes the grip frame, right? All Sig did here was put the P320 Legion FCU and carry slide and barrel into a Flux Defense Raider kit.

There's a whole bunch of new pistol chassis coming out soon that are much smaller, lighter, and less expensive than the Flux Raider. I never understood the pricing of the Flux Raider. Why buy one when you can get an actual purpose built PDW for the same price?

Believe there is a market outside of USA. There are no SBR rules else where. So you have pistol and want a carbine, then grip frame thingy is the way to go. SIG's FCU just makes it a bit more convenient.

I've shot a Glock 17 F/A (Yes, it was with an FFL07/02, not with a Glock Switch) with a pistol chassis. For full auto, completely necessary to mitigate muzzle rise, but other than F/A, I see zero reason for these to exist. If your handgun skills are up to par, this thing does nothing for you, it doesn't affect ballistics, they are fiddly, etc.
the primary reasons for handguns over rifles is for maneuverability, weight and bulk savings, conceal-ability. These achieve the opposite of all of those goals.

Putting a shoulder stabilizer on a pistol is nothing new. Its been around since the Mauser Broom Handle. Over the years there are other variations. It is the grand father of the PDW concept.

Yes, individual skills play a big part. But I can attest from personally experience even with just a strap to stabilize the pistol, a novice can shoot like a pro. Seem it done during a competition a nobby with a stock pistol with a strap out shot bunch grey haired with their tricked out comp pistols.

I think it could make a good survival carbine. It's much lighter and takes up less space that a real rifle. Ideally it would be in 10mm or something with more oomph than a 9mm, but people carry .22 survival guns, so a 9 would be passable.
