New gun on order

Hey guys I decided to purchase a Springfield 1911 in 9mm from budsgunshop.com. Well they don't have any in-stock right now so I am on the list. Any idea how long this could take? Has anyone bought a gun from Bud's that was on backorder? I guess it would depend on the manufacturer.

Not from buds but I ordered a handgun from a bay area gun store and it's going on 1 month now and they still haven't called me to tell me it's in stock. Frustrating but I've never special ordered a gnu before so I don't know how long is too long.

I was not able to find a Springfield 1911 9mm anywhere as well when I was searching a month ago.

Yeah it was hard to find one in 9mm, i think we are a little limited in Cali. That is the reason I placed the order and was locked in to the price they had, and saved me a spot in line. All I know is after 90 days I can cancel the order if I still have not received it without losing money. Hope it doesn't take that long, haha.

Found my Springfield 1911 9mm SS Target model on GunBroker.com earlier this year from a dealer back east. I believe I have seen some recently on their web site.

From my 3 transactions with them, they are super organized. I would have confidence that if and when the manufacture sends them the model, Buds will get it processed and your order moved thru quickly and competently.

Its just when Buds will get it from Springfield... unknown

Based on what LGS are saying, they can't "order" anything and just have to take what becomes available when and if it becomes available with demand for everything being so high right now.

I've purchased guns from Buds before but never something out of stock. All good experiences.

Btw, there are 4 Springfield 9mm Targets on gunbroker. I have one in 9mm but with the fixed combat sights. Having some problems with it though (purchased recently, used) but I'm going to send it to SACS anyways to have some work done.

man the 10 day wait is bad enough for me...The worst part is you wait for the order to come in and then you wait when you are going to pick it up...I feel for you man! good luck!!

Not sure where you are since I'm on mobile but Valkyrie Arms in Santa Clara has a SA 9mm in the case as of last weekend. They might ship so you can think about getting in touch with them if Buds doesn't pan out

it might have been cheaper to special order from a local vendor
