Is Jagerwerks Slide Machining Worth the Hype?

Long had I been a lurker of Jagerwerks website contemplating sending a slide in to have their milling services done. Prices are a little steep, so I've been hesitant. I know they do work on Glocks and some CZ, Sig, S&W, H&K currently.

After getting a botched optic cut from a local shop, I figured I should probably give Jagerwerks (or similar reputable shop) a try.

Initially I was going to just get an optic cut, but I figured since I'm already going through the trouble of shipping it in and waiting I might as well check out their other machining work.

This is the Breacher Slide Pattern, Trijicon RMR cut, Black Nitride with front serrations on the top.

They're good to go. I've had work done from them for my G19 awhile back and they did a good job.

+1 on optic cut from a reputable shop. My personal experience has been with primary machine, cgw, czc and chpws

i dont bother with other cosmetic cuts because it’s not my taste but you do you!

I have two from Jager and also Battle Werx so far. Made the mistake of trusting a local shop with another... no recoil lugs and the optic didn't even fit snug. Won't be doing that again.

For this slide, I prefer to have forward serrations, especially with this big ol optic, the slide windows are somewhat cosmetic, but also save some weight. Important when you're adding a comp that adds a good bit of weight. Most folks that shoot this say that it feels much lighter than it looks, and I agree.

I had a slide milled for an RMR by Wager Machine Works. It turned out great. From what I have read here and elsewhere, others have had the same experience. They are good to go. Pricing was not bad as I remember. Optic Cuts - Wager Machine Works

I like jagerwerks. The slide cuts are nice. There are others snipes that are good too but do your homework when picking them. I can say, avoid DYNAMIC WEAPONS (DWS) at all cost. Those mother****ers stoled my slide which they said was lost during shipping then I had to purchase a replacement from them because they would not give me a refund and to this date I haven’t received the slide yet and it has been almost a year now.

Sorry had to vent but Jagerwekr are a stand up company and great products

Another positive for Wager. I wouldn't have minded using Jager but the turnaround time was a bit too long for me, especially since it was one of my CCW pistols. My g19 black nitride slide with RMR cut took a total of 3 wks door to door.

+1 Jagerwerks is GTG if you can withstand the wait.

Had a few slides sent in for RMR cuts and nitride coating and all of which have been perfect. Also I usually wait and buy into their black friday optics cut promotion.
