why is Sig calling this 'compact'? Its 1.1" wide.

    https://www.sigsauer.com/p365-fuse.h...ium=banner&utm _campaign=armanet_banner_p365_fuse&utm_id=KS&utm_t erm=2502_250322&acgid=c0727223-64ca-4986-85ba-42e61c9bf0fa411b59e1-6463-4398-93e4-9f8539836949#

Reviews largely suck, and its mostly basic function, not "turns out I PERSONALLY don't like their choice of grip shape or control positions, or trigger".

If a gun is advertised as factory "compact" much less "Full-size capability and micro-compact concealment combine with the all-new FUSE from" IMO it should have FACTORY non-snag sights (one of my pet peeves). IMO any gun except designated Range Toy/Hunter should have non-snag exterior.

A "Block" full size G35 has 1" slide and says 'overall' including extended mag button and some protrusion on grip is 1.3".

Well, I guess I gotta give Sig some respect for posting lots of pretty bad reviews on their own website.

I also dont understand the fuse. I just got an xmacro comp and that is pushing the limit of concealment for me with the added grip length. Everyone is different tho and what I can't conceal easily, someone else may be able to.

Theory of relativity - everything is relative.

P229 is a compact compared to P226. Have you seen how huge it is? Glock 19 is a compact too.

Then we got “sub” compact pistols. Finally, micro compact pistols came out. Even then there are degrees of micro. P365 is a lot bigger than LCP Max.

Why does Glock call the 19 compact? Realistically who cares what a gun company calls their product?

The only guns that should have no snag sights are ones you're going to carry in a pocket. The rest of the real world likes to have sights they can see, and line up quickly. No snag/low profile sights suck when you need to use them.

Yup - It's all a matter of perspective and marketing.
FUSE - as in the fusion of "Full-size capability and micro-compact concealment combine"
Apparently if you find that middle ground between Full Size and Micro Compact that = Compact

Bro, your just lucky you didn’t have to carry FULL sized all steel 5” -1911’s and / or 4” all steel 357 revolvers, there was No popular polymer firearms, back in the day.
You young whippersnappers got it easy.
i carried a full size Glock 17 for 5 years. Carrying is a discipline, no one said it was going to be easy.

Also, Glock stated the G 19 is compact ( and it is ) because it’s their middle firearm, just like H&K states the USPc is their compact line. Nuff said .

              Maybe
              Full-size = 5"
              Compact = 4"
              Sub-compact = 3"

Or use black, white, asian as reference?

I love my P226 because I need to compensate.

Exactly. I think people forget, or maybe they are younger and haven't experienced it? But as you allude, there was a time when the the type of guns you describe were the ones people concealed and nobody complained because that was the norm. I think that all of the micro nines and such that have come out in recent years are great and all, but they are not for everyone. I've tried, and with my big hands they tend to swim around in my palm and I'm having to constantly re-adjust my grip when shooting them, just like people with smaller hands having issue with gripping larger guns. My primary EDC is a G29SF. Before that it was an HK USPc 9mm. You wouldn't think so by looking at them, but they are both the same width, with the G29 actually being a little shorter in height and length. CCW'ing the USPc wasn't an issue, and the G29 is even easier still. Of course, everyone is different and the types of guns we all prefer for CCW is very much a YMMV thing.

                        Good rule of thumb here.

Fuse is the same grip length and conceals the same as a macro. Fuse is smoother shooting and less recoil but I prefer the og xl slide

I am a 365 fanatic and I think the Fuse is hilariously stupid.
