    Is this allowed in CA?

IMG_0752.png Other than not being on the roster? Is there anything about this pistol not being legal in Ca? With 10rd mags of course.

I think they sell single shot velocity arms versions at some places in California.

If it's legal single shot isn't it legal semi auto ? Assuming you can do the transfer.

If the barrel is threaded, the fake can must be pinned and welded in place.

It looks like the fake can does not need to be removed for cleaning. I guess I can order it then weld it in place.

Neither Masterpiece Arms nor Velocity Arms are on the handgun roster.
Also, even if either were, the firearm couldn't enter the state without a threaded barrel being disabled or welded. You'd need an out of state middle man.

I live in Wyoming, am moving to CA in a few months. Just getting all my ducks in a row before I move. Pretty sure I won’t have any problems ordering it.

Cool. I would order it and then make sure the fake can is welded. You cannot have a pistol with a threaded barrel here. You also will have to cap the magazines to 10 rounds because if you brought your what look like 30 round mags it comes with, you would be guilty of importing greater than ten round magazines into the state, which is illegal. You'll be moving from one of the most free states in the Union to a Communist Nanny state that hates guns and personal freedom even more. Hope its worth it.

Do you know the construction of the can?
I think if it screws on and "extends the barrel length" when pin/welded it could be seen as a shroud unless it is "solid"

                      (a) Notwithstanding Section 30510, “assault weapon” also means any of the following:

                      (4) A semiautomatic pistol that does not have a fixed magazine but has any one of the following:

                      (A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
                      (B) A second handgrip.
                      (C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning the bearer’s hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
                      (D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

                      (5) A semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds."

Good point, I guess i could just pin a thread protector on it and not run the fake can

Believe it is pinned and welded. You be better off just grind/mill off the thread. Replacement barrel can be had when moving out of state again.

Beat me to it- our code- CA gun codes are insane... both the laws itself IMO and trying to find the code...

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
                              (thanks to Jeff Cooper)
