    Sig P320 CA Differences

It's been a while since I looked at CalGuns due to all the technical issues, so I'm a bit out of the loop with the discussions and latest developments. This has likely been answered, but here it goes anyways. Treat it as a newbie asking for an easy summary .

What are the differences between regular P320 and CA P320?

Not counting the obvious restricted magazine, the CA model should have some sort of LCI/CLI and magazine disconnect. Can the frame be "saved" by removing magazine disconnect and how bad is the slide compared to the standard version? Most importantly, are there any differences in the FCU itself between CA and standard models? To get a particular non-CA model, is it still the best to get the cheapest model with the desired FCU and get the rest from Sig? And what's Sig's attitude these days towards shipping to CA?

FCU and magazine disconnect are shown really well here:

There are no differences in the chassis part of the FCU. The mag safety is part of the sear housing and is easily removed if desired (see the video Randall posted). The CA approved 320 is the M18 which already has a LCI. Sig placed the "loaded when up" warning on the optics cover plate to make it a CLI. So if you replace the plate with an optic, you'll remove the warning.

Lastly, there's a small relief notch in the grip module to accommodate the mag safety sear housing. You can see this at the 9 minute mark when he reinstalls. As a result, the FCU may not fit into other grip modules without a little dremel action.

The Sig P320 CA version has more than regular version:
          - LCI just leave it there , it doesn't hurt.
          - Manual safety, many YouTube show how to remove it and buy a new pin (couple buck + shipping) to replace the manual safety.
          - Magazine Disconnect Mechanism, many YouTube show how to remove it.
After remove Manual Safety and MDM you will have the regular Sig P320 FCU.
          (1) The only problem I saw is the frame will have the HOLE/NOTCH for Manual Safety , but you can buy a regular frame (w/o Manual Safety hole/notch) $60-$100.
          (2) OR you can keep the Manual Safety on you FCU and every time you want to get a new frame/lower or frame conversion you need to buy the jig ($12 + shipping) to drill the Manual Safety hole/notch.
I had the CA Sig P320 X5 Legion with all of the CA bull **** stuffs (MDM, Manual Safety) when I want to swap to another frame/lower I refer to to drill the hole/notch for Manual Safety.

I have the 320 X Full, stock it fits my hands perfectly, and with the way I grip it's nothing to flop the manual safety down as I draw. As for the rest of the changes, I don't really care, it goes bang every time I pull the trigger, no ftf or fte.
