Les Baer in the BAY AREA

Does anyone know where in the Bay Area I can check out any of the LB 1911's? I would like to check one out before I buy one.

    Thanks

Reeds Indoor Range in Santa Clara has one available to rent if you want to shoot a TRS.

US Firearms Co in Sunnyvale is a Les Baer dealer (not sure of their current stock, but worth giving them a call).

Nothing to check out, it's a Les Baer..

I haven't shot mine yet but it came with a 1 1/2" guarantee at 50yds. The lockup is so tight I've a hard time working the slide.

The TRS at Reeds has been in the shop for maintenance/repair. I've been trying to get trigger time on that gun for the past 3 months now. Call Reeds before making the trek out there...

            1/2" or 1.5"?

It's interesting, I was looking at Severns' 1911 "battle" the other day where he was testing a 3" and 1.5" TRS along with some other pistols and the lockup on the 1.5" wasn't as tight as the 3". Before seeing that, I would have thought it would be the reverse with the 1.5" being a tighter fit, but I guess not. I'll find out in a few months

U.S. Firearms in Sunnyvale had several Les Baers last time I was in there (couple of weeks ago).

BAGV has a lot of 1911's in the cases you could check to see if they have any Les Baers.

If you want to meet up at USI Saturday you can shoot my TRS. It is a sweet shooter.

Reed's Indoor Range in Santa Clara has a few of them for sale so you can fondle them in person before buying one. If I remember correctly, the ones I saw on the shelf last week were the Custom Carry, TRS, SRP, and Premier II. They sell them at msrp though so you would do yourself a big favor if you order from Crazy John or Hammond.

I shoot at Reeds and Targetmasters, and I have a TRS with VZ G10 Grips.

Bring the ammo, I won't even charge you to shoot it
