      Have the same set up with a s&a magwell. Have shot all kinds of hp through her and havent had a problem. Like they said maybe a little polishing.

        That was my first 1911 too. Nice grips. Now I'm thinking about changing out mine.

                What he said. I put one on my first 1911 the same day I brought it home. If you've got old credit cards, supermarket swipe cards or frequent flyer cards, they work pretty well for avoiding the old idiot scratch.
