I have a chance to get it new for $960... worth it?

I heard from someone that it's a US made 1911... not that it makes too much of a difference, but it's good to know. Never touched a SA before, I'm used to RIA and SW.

Opinion?

Jump on that deal in a quick fast, let along the color pattern is pure awesome. There very hard to come-by. Especially at that price that shouldn't even be a question! You wont be disappointed!! Check out these reviews and opinions this might help sum. Cheers!

I have one. Paid 1250. They are not easy to find. Seems to be very well made. The trigger is awesome. I also own Les Baer and NightHawk 1911's. Wont be getting rid of the MCOP. That should tell you something. Jump on it.

Its not uncommon to see them here used for 1300. Its supply and demand. The MCO has a good rep plus low production numbers. If you see it in a shop here expect to pay 1200-1400 without tax or dros. If you found one new for 960 its a steel for what they typically go for. I bought mine 3 years ago for 1125 OTD so you have me beat and I though i got a good deal. I also was looking for one for over a year!

$960 is a very good price for new one. SGCUSA has only one in stock right now and they are selling it for $1199. Add transfer fee and DROS, it will be close to $1400 OTD.

I am also looking into buying a Springfield MC Operator. I checked with the lgs, they quoted me around $1200 before tax. So if you can find one for $960, like everyone said "JUMP ON IT".

Great deal for $960. I place order for mine and still waiting since end of last year, probably going to be another 2-3 month before SA will ship the gun. Good solid gun with very nice trigger to boot, at least with the few I have handled.

I got lucky when I found mine a few years ago. Walked into a LGS, saw it in the display cabinet. They let me test the trigger against a kimber I was thinking of buying. I put the kimber back, and bought the operator on the spot, $1108 out the door. It’s one of the guns I will never sell.

Get it, you will not be disappointed.

If you change you mind, tell me where you found it! I'll go and buy that right now esp' if it's NEW and U.S. made! I've been looking for the last two weeks and will just go and put deposit down somewhere but figuring which gun store might be the best option with the best connections. I've been quoted between 1100 and 1350 with a 4 to 10 month wait period at all the brick and mortar places.
