You must be subscribed as well. I watched this and laughed because not that long ago a guy with a .460sw literally blew the tip of his finger off of the bone at an indoor range near me.

No arguing about hand/finger placement here. I've seen the photos on line about the 460S&W blowing finger tips off (I own a 460V and love it). Got to love the internet for spreading rumors or truth and everything in between.

Did you guys notice that the paper was placed several inches past the end of that short barrel? How much shredding was due to cylinder/barrel gap vs muzzle blast? I'll have to try this myself and post.

I was wondering about that too with the paper. I can imagine the 460 taking off a fingertip. My 460 turns heads from 15 feet away because people can feel the concussion. I watched someone hold a carrot next to the cylinder and it cut it in half.

In a thread over on The High Road, a guy took some pretty graphic high-speed photos of a revolver being fired... yeah, putting any part of your body in-line with the forward end of the chamber is a really bad idea...

he should hold the paper behind end of barrel as far as

possible.

For all I know, all that was caused by muzzle blast and how it will also pull air forward.

He should use a 10.5 Ruger Blackhawk and have the front of paper only an inch forward of the forcing cone.

They Also did this on mythbusters they made a hand out of a chicken and used the bones and I think they used a 500 s&w and that thing was toast
