no it does not go onto the feed ramp, it is not a crack, i can post more pics when my cam battery is charged up.

I would take it to a smither and have it checked out. If it's fine to shoot, then shoot it. If the integrity of the gun is compromised, the manf'er will take care of it. Good luck!

trust me though the scratch does not extend dowm the feed ramp, it is only along the top part of the block of steel and does not cross the rail

If it didn't extend past what's shown, and it is just a scratch, I personally wouldn't worry. Disclaimer: I have decades of metal working experience and YMMV.

None of us are holding the gun, so our opinion is limited by the photo shown. If it was me, I would take it in to a trustworthy gunsmith and have it inspected to be on the safe side. Have it inspected for piece of mind if nothing else. Most likely it's a tooling mark from the factory, but I personally would have it checked out just the same.Comment
