    Glock 23

I've read that there is a "drop in" barrel you can get for the 23 that converts it to 9mm...

    Sound familiar to anyone??

Here's one.. I use it along with my G23 .40 mags, runs fine. It's like you have a G19 as well.

LOL, I sorry just had to.

I have a G22 with the Lonewolf 9mm barrel and a few G17 mags. It shoots great and helps keep the plinking cost down a bit. I've read about some people changing a few other parts as well and even using the .40 cal mags with 9mm will no problems.

Most searches seemed to just go with the barrel and the proper mags. Give it a shot!!

No it's all good...I get it. I should've googled it first..

I don't have a G23..yet. I've got a Taurus MP PT 140 that shoots great but in the back of my mind there is this "what if" going on. I'm thinking of selling it and picking up another .40 cal and Glock, I had a 10mm many years ago, is a fine weapon.

I was surprised to see that some change out the barrel and mags to turn it into another caliber...that's pretty damn flexible.

            Thanks for the heads up.

I use the Lone Wolf 40-9 and a G19 magazine in my G23, shoots very well and I shoot both .40 and 9mm at the range.

The .40 and 9mm Glock frames are the same, and nearly all of the parts internally are as well. You could even put a complete G19 slide on the G23 if you'd like.

LONE WOLF 40-9 barrel. they work in the G23 im pretty sure. not sure why youd convert a .40 to a 9 but theres the part you need, good luck!

It's a little cheaper to shoot 9mm than it is .40 cal. In one sense, I'd rather practice with the caliber I'd use if I needed to use it for positive habit transfer however, there isn't that much difference in the 9mm and the .40 I have in recoil in fact, the 9mm, an LC9, has a more active recoil than my PT 140.

I had a Walther PPK/S for a while and it would jump all over the place whereas even my .357 wasn't as "busy" to handle.

                        That's why I'm considering a Glock 23, a S&W M&P or a 1911 in a commander style frame...a little smoother to shoot than little guns.
