    Springfield 9mm 1911 USA made?

Are the stainless steel Springfield 9mm 1911 Brazilian frames or are they NM frames or just a mixture? Thinking of getting one.

Every fixed sight I've seen is N, adjustable sight is NM.
Fallujah had become a magnet for foreign jihadists and there were several thousand in the city who had come to make martyrs of themselves, to die while killing as many Americans as possibleAt each house I said a prayer, 'Please God get me out of this one.' When I come out of the house, I thank Him, light up a cigarette and move on to the next onesigpic

All made in Brazil. NMs are assembled here.

Our family has two Springfield 1911, 9mm's. Both are accurate and run flawlessly with factory ammo and reloads. Never had a problem with either. It is my favorite 1911. I highly recommend.

I believe all Springfield Armory 1911's slides and frames are sourced from Imbel(Brazil). Pistols that are 51% finished/assembled in the US get a NM prefixed serial number and are marked "Made in USA".

I recently picked up a target model and it has a NM on it. I will say this it is now my favorite pistol to shoot. This gun is very accurate and easy to shoot. I don't know where you live but I was at Annies get your gun in Corona last saturday and I was surprised to see they had one. I'll tell you if I didn't already have one I would have picked that one up.

At Parallax they told me NM = 80% frames sent to us and finished here. That's about it.

Springfield Armory 1911 frames are all made by Imbel in Brazil. That is actually a good thing as Imbel is one of the highest quality frame manufacturers out there. Don't let the fact that the frames are made in Brazil get you hung up. My TRP works just fine and I'd happily buy another one.

All Springfield frames and slides are manufactured in Brazil by IMBEL. If you springfield is marked "Made in USA" it just means that more than 50% of the fit or parts are completed domestically.

Springfield doesn't sell and guns that are manufactured completely in the USA

One thing I've noticed between N and NM Loaded's at least are that aside from the serial number difference, the NM's come with a stainless bushing and the engravings on the slide is a lot cleaner on the NM compared to the N. Also, correct me if i'm wrong but the NM Loaded's come with a checkered mainspring housing whereas the N's are grooved.

No one seems to realize how monumental IMBEL is.

^ I believe you are correct. SA 1911's with NM prefix serial numbers are marked ....

There isn't a "Made in USA" mark on the pistol. OOPs, my bad.
