Colt New Agent

Has nayone fired or purchased a Colt New Agent in 9mm or .45?

This looks to be an awesome gun... compact built on the 1911 platform.
Excellent to conceal and from what Iv'e read a good shooter.

But since it had trench sights, and does not have a thumb safety

I opted for the SA EMP

It's a nice little gun. It has a thumb safety not sure where hopalong got his without one. Where are you located?

I had one in 45 for over 2yrs. Took it to the range twice in that time, dry fired it each time, decided I'd never get used to the trench sights and never put a live round through the gun. Sold it last month.

You're right, it does have one, but that little nub was too hard for me to find!

Have one in 9mm. Great shooting pistol. Minimal kick and I got the hang of the trench sights within 100 rounds. Glad I have it.
