    nagant revolver, under 21

I am into collecting Russian weapons. I have severalsmosins and SKSes, an SVT-40. I want to add a nagant to my collection but I can't buy one in CA. Besides parents, is there anyway I can get one? I have read a bit but do not fully understand these wacky laws. Would I be able to go out of state and buy a C&R nagant then bring it into CA and register it?

    thanks

Not without getting a C&R licence, (to engage in interstate gun purchasing) which you'll need to be 21 to get.

Technically you could machine it yourself, but you really need your parents to help you with this one.

ahh... that does pose a problem... (I'm sorry for your loss)

You could technically become a resident of another state (like florida) which allow 18 year olds to buy handguns through FTF PPT's.

but in CA you don't really have a way around the 21 year mandate. (that I know of)

Do you have a grand parent who is still alive? interfamilial transfers work through grand parents as well.

But you still must be 21, I think.

            Just effin' wait.

I wanted to buy a Colt SAA and a 1911 ever since I was 16. But I had to wait until I was old enough to get one. There was nothing more I wanted to do on my 21st than to go out and buy my first handgun. I couldn't wait until I was old enough. Now that I'm past 21, there's nothing more I want than to be young again..

You'll be 21 before you know it.
