I was wondering about the feasibility of using moon clips for 9mm in the Model 60 (it would have to full moon clips I think because it is a five shot .357). I also have a five shot Smith Air weight in .38 spl + p and running 9s through it as well. No need to do it, just wanna.

Never thought of it that way, but you're right!Comment

One thing to watch for is if the clip tweaks, it'll lock up the gun or fail to close the cylinder.
There is one company that makes really good moon clips, but I forget the name.
The old smith 940 black clips were garbage. I had one bend and lock up the cylinder back when i had a 940.
It could be tk custom that makes the good ones that don't tweak?Comment

It could be TK customs is a good one. I did a check off list for one and is about $40 for one. It may be because it an odd ball ( 9mm in a revolver not chambered for it. I'll call tomorrow to confirm that I filled out the list properly.Comment

Ranch Products makes a full moon clip for the S&W 940. I've been using their .45 and 8 shot .38 full moon clips for years, they work great.

Welp, the short answer is no can do. Talked with both companies noted above and the cylinder has to be cut for the round and I don't want to that. Another option is to buy a cylinder already cut, have it timed and keep switching back and forth. Nope.Comment
