    Shield Optic Ready Slide Fitment

hey everyone. Glad to be back.

So i just ordered a shield optic ready slide and a holosun 507k. Ive read that sometimes the optic doesnt sit flush on the slide cuz of the recoil lugs and the rmsc pattern cut. For those that have gotten one, do you have any issues. Are you running an adapter plate or did you have the slide milled? this is my first foray into optics and am looking forward to trying them out.

No issue at all with my optic ready slide.

    I ordered the genuine S&W part from Vizard's SS-WH2-150124.

Good to know! My optic arrived last week and slide comes next week. Pretty excited to try it out.

I too have the stock S&W slides replacing the originals on the two Shields I own. Both have Holosun dot sights on them, no issue.

I had mine milled. The rear sight was removed and the 507 is mounted to the far rear, not in front of the original sight.

Better sight accuracy that way and the original slide was already factory fitted. It also costs less $.

Hey guys. Finally got all the parts together and installed. The 507k did fit the slide with no modifications. However, there is noticeable daylight visable between the optic an slide. I guess this is a common issue with the optic ready slides and S&W is not machining the pocket completely flat. Doesnt really bother me all that much and hopefully it wont be an issue when zeroing. I have read that some folks run out of elevation when using the EPS. If i do have issues, the final option would be to send it to Nameless Arms or C&H for correct milling.
