    pistol purchase limits?

Hello all, i've been out of California for a while on orders. I can't seem to recall if there is a limit to how many handguns you can purchase in a month. For some reason I keep thinking that you can only DROS one pistol in a 30 day period... Could someone refresh my memory please?

Depends where you are. There are local restrictions which limit ALL handgun purchases to 1 in 30 days.

        Except in Los Angeles county.

I have a question in anyone know. Sorry to thread jack.

I'm curious. So L.A. Limits one ppt per month. If you are a L.A. Resident, can you still drive out to say Ventura county and do multiple ppt transfers within 30 days?

That's what I needed refreshed! Thanks guys. O knew there was a 1 pistol limit but forgot that it was for new purchases. I just purchased a bersa from a fellow calgunner and am thinking about picking up another pistol from the firearm section.

Nope. LA County is fine with exempting PPTs. It's LA CITY (and possibly other places) that have stricter regulations.

Really? City of LA allows only one ppt per month? I'm in LA county (Alhambra), and I've traveled to Riverside, San Marcos, and all parts of Orange County as a buyer and seller for ppt's. Just make sure you have all your paperwork. Valid CDL/ID, proof of residency, utility bill, car registration, etc.

The entire map is the city of LA divided into different areas just like many major cities.
