I recently bought a single shot .22 for my kids from Dicks and asked for a copy and they refused right there on the spot.

I realize the purchase receipt and copy of the DROS has really no value aside from future warranty work in certain situations and, from a legal standoint, the DOJ has record of all the info already. I only ask because I'd like it for my personal records.

I think it really depends on who the FFL is. I know some who give it and some who don't. I don't know if there is a regulation that requires them to give you one.
