Selling my gun in Calif. Laws

I have an old handgun given to me many years ago by a good friend who is now in his eighties. he got it from a friend years before me. The gun was checked by the local Police and its clean. Can I sell it, or does it need more paperwork done. Thanks

You can sell it through a FFL to anyone that has a HSC.

      Welcome to calguns!

You are good to sell your handgun if you so choose.

Post it up on the classifieds here, and meet the buyer at a local gun store (FFL) for a private party transfer.

Usually the buyer pays the transfer fees in these types of transactions. How it works is that you ad the buyer meet at the store, fill out a form, then you get cash from the buyer. You are then done with the transaction.

In 10 days the buyer goes back to the store and picks up the pistol. You do not need to return after 10 days.

What is it? If it is an old s&w send me an email. I can give you some information about it and help you with price. Thanks
