    SA Pro disassembly video?

I had a bookmarked video from one of the members here (don't recall who) on how to disassemble/assemble a SA Professional without using the bushing wrench. Thanks to the "master technician" at Best Buy who failed to back up my Bookmarks among other things, I don't have it anymore.

I am hoping either that member or someone who has that video bookmarked will see this thread and help me out.

The method in the video involved holding the slide back, pulling out the slide lever, then taking the slide off of the frame. The bushing can then easily be removed. The important part of this video was too ensure the spring didn't shoot out at 200mph and destroy anyone or anything.

I can remember a little of it, but would prefer to have the video for reference if possible prior to doing it again. After the Zombie Shoot and the IE shoot at Rancho Cucamonga Magnum, the gun is filthy. I tried a search, but came up with nothing. Thanks.

I think you might be thinking of this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJhPari7dpc&feature=plcp
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
"What we get away with isn't usually the same as what's good for us"
"An extended slide stop is the second most useless part you can put on a 1911"

"While Ruger DA revolvers may be built like a tank, they have the aesthetics of one also,
although I suppose there are a few tanks which I owe an apology to for that remark"

redcliff, that is not the video, but it uses the same method, so it accomplishes the same thing! Thanks for that, I appreciate it.

The one I had was for the Pro made by a member here. His video had no audio, but I could see what to do.

Now that I have the one you provided bookmarked, I have an audio explanation too, so thanks again.

skyscraper, that is the exact video I was referring to. Are you the maker of that video. If so, you are the one who gave me that a couple of years ago, so I am glad you saw this thread and replied.

BTW, I now recall there was audio to this video; I had forgotten about the heavy breathing.

I've bookmarked this one also and having both will certainly help as a reference tool. I thank you both and can't believe the quick response to my request. I figured if I even got one it would be a week or so.

          Take care both of you.

It wasn't me who made it, but I also own a pro and found the video helpful. Cheers!

Don't own a Pro, but SACS fitted the bushing on my Springfield, and the fit is really tight, so I'm going to try that. Might be a pinch one day, and not have access to my bushing wrench.

They will loosen up after a few thousand rounds. My pro has about 1500 through it now and it starting to ease up, but I still require the bushing wrench to turn it once it is stripped.

Figured as much, but I definitely wouldn't imagine being able to do it as easy as depicted in that video at the moment.
