Won A Beretta Stampede - FFL Help

Just won a Beretta Stampede SAA type off GB for a very good price = from Durys Guns. The FFL I usually use is relocating, not open for business now. Which got me looking for a new FFL to transfer. Am looking for an FFL anywhere within about 80 miles (one way) from SF where I won't feel like I should be smoking a cigarette after the transaction - $100.00 plus DROS is now "low end" with alot of $150.00 and another in Vallejo is $500.00. I guess that's their way of saying "don't bother us".

Any suggestions? I've got all my docs, gun is a plain old single action and it's coming from an FFL.

500? I hope whoever that is goes out of business.

I've used AAA before but they're in Vallejo so I hope that isn't who charges 500.

If you haven't already, you can search for an FFL on Gunbroker.
Near the bottom of the GB page under "Buyers" is "Find an FFL."

Enter the stating point zip code and how far you are willing to travel (you can't use 80 miles, but you can choose 50 or 100).
The majority of the FFLs list their fees.

Below are some that might work for you.
I don't know any of them (I don't live anywhere near SF).

I'd call them to confirm they are still in business, the rates and when (hours and/or appointment) they can do it.

I'm also in the Bay Area. It seems there are a couple FFL that will do an in person private party xfer but I don't know any that are willing to accept shipments (firearms or ammo). Last one I knew and used was Imbert and Smithers but they closed for good last year. I would be curious to know if there is an FFL within driving range.

I use Glaser Arms in Brentwood. Zach is great to deal with and very fast. No BS or chit chat. The pricing for firearm and ammo shipments is the best I have seen in the Bay Area. Some FFLs seem to not do either anymore.

must be a friendly ffl that provides free donuts and coffee to be able to boldy charge $500.

Why would you even list your FFL on Gunbroker trying to get buyers to do transfers.
They must want to sell only, wonder if they charge $500 to winner bidder for shipping.

I had a friendly FFL that provided free beers while doing paperwork. They also charged a very reasonable price, and I don't want to say who they are.

they loaded you up with beers until you have double vision. they'd say "$50 for ppt" but you're handing them $500.

I second the Glaser Arms recommendation. Very fast and pricing is extremely reasonable.

UGI doesn't really have a storefront per se (at least not that I've seen; they do advertise some stuff for sale, from a different location, but I haven't been to it.) They do their transfers from an office in what I think is a strip mall legal office. Their pricing is on their site, and they have concise instructions on how to proceed through the process. I've used them several times for out of state orders; they are professional and efficient.
