    Im torn... Glock or FN

Ive been in the market for another pistol but I can decide between an FN Five Seven or a Glock 21. I already have a .45 and was thinking about getting a 10mm conversion barrel for the Glock. Either round I plan on reloading but the 5.7 seems to be sensitive to loading and not long lasting.

You can't just install a 10MM barrel in a GLOCK 21 to run 10MM. The barrel hoods are different width. Lonewolf doesn't offer this conversion for a GLOCK 21. You can install a complete TOP END (10MM slide/barrel) and swap to 10MM (Glock 20) mags and run 10MM. But the money involved you're better off buying a used G20.

Yeah, reloading 5.7 is not as easy as we think.

Both weapons are entirely different platforms.

Since you already have a .45 I vote to get a GLOCK 20SF and buy a .40 conversion barrel for it. ($115) You can reload 10MM and .40 with the same Dies; not hard and certainly easier than the pricey 5.7 set up and components.

      Shoot 10MM and .40.

Sorry, but I disagree with Oceanbob. You most certainly can put a 10mm barrel in a G21 and run it just fine. I've done it.

Myself, I don't see a lot of future for the 5.7mm round. I can understand it's use in a selective fire PDW, but not in a normal side arm.

If you plan to reload, check out the thread below.

                Gun KBd on Factory ammo.

I would be scared to reload.

Last week my FN Five-Seven blew up causing severe damage to my left hand (I am right handed). There are 6-8 pieces of shrapnel deep in my thumb and palm area which severed the nerves to my thumb and a portion of my palm. Surgery is required in an attempt to repair the hand by harvesting tissue...

Yes it will run. There is a gap on each side of the hood however.

Depends what you're buying it for... I have a G21 and my buddy has the 5.7. IMO, the 5.7 is just a gun to have fun with on some land shooting different things. The G21 is a little more versatile. I've had the G21 since I was 14 and have loved every minute of it. Great gun

Isn't the FN twice the cost of the 21?

I would love a five seven. Wicked little round.
