    ....

For whatever reason, it is my most disliked handgun whenever I take it out to the range. I've never shot more inconsistent with a handgun than with this one (another friend who owns the same gun has the same exact feelings). Don't get me wrong, I love the way it looks and feels, and it's never jammed on me or ever caused an issue besides the fact my groupings are always so inconsistent in comparison with my other half a dozen handguns I own and shoot regularly (I've checked the sights with someone and they said it seemed perfectly fine). Is there any recommendations to help improve the accuracy with my Sig or a specific shooting adjustment needed? I'm also just thinking of selling it all together and trying something else...

First, you have a California spec SIG. That's not good.
Second, you can spend more trigger time with your SIG to "learn" it some more.
Third, try to remove all the related California spec parts and replace them with non-California SIG parts and shoot it some more.
If you're still not happy, sell it.

How is having CA spec parts a detriment to it's performance? How would removing them improve it?
Legit questions. Not trying to start a fight. I have a CA P226 and I shoot fine with it.

I've shot both CA-spec and non-CA-spec P226s. Subjectively, the non-CA-spec shoots and feels like a real SIG Sauer. I guess all those CA nanny parts on the SIG diminish the experience. For me, the best P226 is still the old-school folded carbon steel slides made in Germany. The current US-made milled slides are acceptable since they no longer make the old-school slides.

Weird. My Scorpion is my favorite, even ahead of my Staccato

Ah. I guess YMMV in this case. Thank you.

i'd just sell it and get a gun that you like that you shoot better with.

I have a Sig 226 Extreme - has the mag disconnect like most Sigs.
That's why I also have a couple SP2022's - one of the only Sig models that still does NOT have a mag disconnect. (And yes, the disconnect can be removed, but I prefer to keep my firearms in 'stock' form.)

To the OP - if you do not like it and it just doesn't 'feel right', then sell it and get something else you'd prefer and enjoy shooting more...

I have the 226 extreme, and I dont shoot it very well either. For me, when the trigger finally breaks it is very close to the grip. Very short reach. My trigger finger touches my thumb. I have to focus on finger position and adjust my grip for this gun, unlike any of my other guns.
However my wife loves the 226 and its her best shooter.

That's how I felt about my Glock 19. Didn't like it at all even after the trigger upgrade. Sold it and used the funds towards the P226.

I scored a German made steel slide SS P226 from a CG member a little over 10 years ago. He contacted me a few years later begging me- wanting to buy it back... It's my personal favorite handgun by far.

Ditto what everyone else here is saying: If you're not happy with it- just sell it & find something else you like.
