Sigpro 2022 German frames vs Exeter, NH frames

Hey guys, I currently own a 2022 with a German made frame, and while I love the gun and my ability to shoot with it accurately, I can't fit a 3rd party weapon light on it due to the rail being proprietary and I don't like the Sig light.

So I wanna know if it's worth it to sell my firearm, and get the same one, but with the picatinny rail.

Are the Exeter frames just as good as the German made frames?

I have a US made sp2022 in .40, while it fits TLR1 just fine, it caused my gun to open the slide after each shot. I think it happened because .40 has more of a muzzle flip, and sig pro was designed for a 9mm. So be warned.

Both the German and Exeter frames are the same. They both, even, say Made in Exeter, NH on them.

If you love the gun, keep it. Just buy a gen3 Glock and put light on it.

correction: the SigPro was originally designed in .40 (SP2340)

The 2340 was designed for .40 correct.

Dont worry about the make (US, Germany). A majority of there production, let alone what you'll most likely get unless you ask for a German model or a model thats only made in Germany, is Exeter (soon to be pease, there moving).

Ever see a Sig Pro frame with "Made in Switzerland" on the side?

Maybe just buy the light Sig makes for your type of rail.

A quick google search and I found this recent post of someone selling one $65 on AR15.com

Yes. I had a SP2340 Made in Switzerland.

The early sig pros have a proprietary rail. The new ones have a standard rail.

                      This is the older one.

I have the "in between" version where it looks like a standard rail, but isn't.
