How to reduce Double action pulll on S&W 649

Is there some way to reduce double action pull on my 649 without effecting reliability. Is there a gunsmith in the North Bay (Sonoma County) that could do this?

I put a Wilson spring kit in my 442 that helped the trigger pull a lot. Never had any misfires with the lighter springs

I had a trigger kit overhaul for my S&W 43c, which is a .22LR and therefore has heavier springs than centerfire to ensure ignition. It made a big difference in smoothing out trigger pull, which made for more accuracy

My wife had a hard time with the trigger pull on a J frame. With only changing the trigger return spring to a lighter one it made all the difference.

Have you tried dry-firing it a thousand or so times? I've had a couple S&W revos smooth out that way.

Did this on a Model 60 and a 586 with really nice results. I also found a good DVD on S&W revolver trigger job. I ended up only doing the springs. The DVD was great to understand the parts and pieces.

A gun with MIM parts will be a lot easier to smooth out than forged steel.

I did this for my Taurus revolver. I replaced trigger return spring only, not touching hammer spring. It lightened the double action pull a little.

This. Pay a pro. They also polish parts that may be rubbing on the inside of the frame, take off rough spots, and like that. A Smith action job should be cheap, and work wonders.

What dash is it?
I recommend the TK CUSTOM spring kit if the firing pin is frame mounted. I have done a few. If not, I like the Wilson Combat kit because you get 3 different rebound spring weights to try out. I usually go with the #13
