    Max 9 Owners. Feedback Please.

I'm thinking of buying one before the 11 percent fleecing begins. How do you like yours?

Had a thread on it a few weeks back when I asked - most comments were favorable. $349 at sportsmans authority right now but since its easier to get I opted for the RIA 1911 they have for 499 - I'm out now until after the 11% and my 30 day joys of celibacy's.
    1. Compared to what?
    2. At what cost?
    3. What hard evidence do you have?

IMO, I had one (and also owned Ruger Mark 2, Ruger Black Hawk, Ruger Red Hawk, Bersa, CZ Cheetah, Glocks).
      (1) Ruger Max-9 is not built liked Ruger Mark 1-4.
      (2) Go to store hold one then shake it, if you like the sound for not.
      (3) I prefer put more money to buy: Bersa, CZ, Glock compact pistols. The Ruger Max-9 is NOT build liked the usual Ruger such as Mark,1-4, revolver Red & Black Hawk.

Similar, Winchester rifle is one of the top rifle until you buy Winchester Wildcat rifle, Wildcat is a POS.

I have a Max9 which I bought to take the place of my LC380 converted to 9mm due to 10/1 vs 7/1 . I have plenty of Ruger guns. The MAX9 is very similar to the LC380/9 size wise as the grip is slightly wider due to the double stack mag. The trigger is much better than the LC380/9. I've read all about the trigger hang ups but have to say that I can barely get it to hang with aggressive sideloading so they either fixed the issue or my model is not affected. It's like all small 9mm pistols, its snappy and not the most fun to shoot but it is very easy to carry and I qualify with it no problem. My oldest Ruger is from the 70's and their modern offerings aren't quite like their guns of old but who's are? I'd buy it again. The price is hard to beat, especially if you count the $130 optics ready slide.

The Max-9 is fine for what it is. It's a budget friendly gun for easy carry. It is not a target gun or a full size steel gun, and making that kind of comparison is apples and bananas.

My wife has one and it's easy enough to shoot accurately at common defensive ranges. I've put a few hundred rounds through it without any issues. If I didn't have a couple of guns to fill the intended role already, I'd buy one.
