Picked this guy up over the weekend. I really like the old school S&W revolver sights on the early custom guns and was fortunate enough to find this for sale on another forum with the seller being down south. He kindly offered to meet about halfway (we met at Reed's in Santa Clara) and I was in. Not sure who built the gun, but it looks a lot like early King's customs. However, it's not marked with the King's stamp. The first pic is how I got it, the remainder are after a detail strip and the change of a few parts (King's grip screws, King's thumb safety, new springs, Colt original grip safety and MS housing, and Harrison Design smooth face trigger). Beside the S&W sights, the gun has the barrel positioner welded in the slide that was also used by King's, Swenson, and a couple of other smiths. Strange that it still has the collet bushing though (I do have an original NOS King's bushing, just need to have it fit). I think it's pretty neat.
