What's wrong with being able to chamber a round one-handed in the manner shown in the video? It's generally a good idea to be MORE capable rather than LESS capable.

Sorry to bring up a dumb question:
How does change the recoil spring affects handguns?

So that when you have a COF like this, you can engage the first target sooner

It's just the ability to start the gun rearward and being able to stop the frame while letting the slide continue to the rear...you don't need liker spring, especially not with a 9mm Glock

I'm waiting for a video of a guy who does everything with one hand. Picks up a loaded magazine, throws it up in the air, then picks up gun, holds it upside down and catches the magazine WITH the gun simultaneously loading it, then does the one hand rack slide, and then unloads the whole magazine into a 4" target 75 yards down range. That will be impressive! HAHAHAHAHAH!

There's a video of a guy loading his rifle and shooting using his toes if that counts.

The technique has been around forever. It is a neat little trick, but not 100% reliable. If you loose the use of your support side arm and need to chamber a round you are much better off using your belt and the rear sights or the heal of your boot, etc. Lots of 100% reliable techniques out there. Life is not a John Woo movie.

Just tried it on 3 of my pistols, was not able to rack a single snap cap and I think I blew out both my shoulders. Stupid badass people

I just tried it too on my G-17. I didn't put a mag in I don't know if that makes a difference. The slide would move only 1/8 to 1/4 inch at most. I stopped when I though I was going to dislocate my shoulder. I have had it sewn in place once and I don't want to do that again.
