Glock 36 upper on a Glock 30 SF lower??

Does anybody know if a G36 upper (2.5 gen) would fit on a G30 SF (3rd gen) lower frame (looking for more capacity)?? I've read that a couple people have tried it and it worked flawless.. I haven't been able to find much online about the glock 36 2.5 genernation though..

It works 100% on the gen3. Not sure about 2.5.

So does that mean i can get a G36 lower and it'll work with a G30SF upper?
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

I've heard people say they've done this successfully (including a couple of people in my Glock armorer's class) but haven't seen it with my own eyes.

Do you by chance know any differences between the 2.5 and the 3rd gen? they look like the exact same to me I didn't even know mine was a 2.5 gen until I looked up the serial number I thought it was a 3rd gen.

Looks like the slides for a G30SF and G36 are interchangable.

My question is, what would switching slides/uppers get you?

                      I guess I'm dumb tonight... G30 and G36 are both .45 ACP. Putting a G36 slide on a G30, you get a 10 rnd
pistol with a thick grip and a thinner/lighter slide. The only difference between this and a stock G30 is a thinner
slide, a couple fewer oz in weight and probably a bit more recoil. Is that all the pro/cons?
