A couple of years ago my mom bought a S&W Model 59 with a black alloy frame and nickel-plated slide with original wood grips with a matching Galco holster for about $350 out of the door.
She finally let me borrow it to strip it apart (I dont think its been field stripped since the 80's) and its being cleaned up.
I can't find any info on 10 round magazines for this pistol and as far as I can tell the magazine should therefore be the standard 14/15 round original since it was discontinued almost two decades before the ban.
Long story short: Does anyone know where I could get a rebuild kit for this pistol to keep as a spare? She doesn't intend to shoot the crap out of it but would like to take it out once in a while and I'm of the mindset that all pistols should have atleast two magazines.
Even just one magazine and one kit.
Incase that second magazine she's had since the 80's turns up finally and we use the kit to fix it.
