Show up at Norco Running Gun USPSA match on any Saturday, and I can take it out and put your new one for free! Why, because it takes 2 seconds, and they you will want to go to the public range and shoot it.

I've read people grinding down a deep socket. I used a small pair of needle nose pliers. Might need to heat the screw a little with a soldering iron to melt the glue.

Buy one of these, best $20 I ever spent:

Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

That's for the plastic ones, the new metal ones are threaded. And some of the really old ones with night sights were upset formed in place. They have to be drilled out

For the record the site I am trying to remove is the OE GLOCK night sight which I believe is made by MePro and is attached by a threaded bolt on the underside.

My cheapo front sight tool broke, so I actually just did that myself. I chucked up a 3/16 deep socket on my drill, and spun it on the abrasive wheel on my grinder until it fit in the slide. It's all I had, and it worked. You also have to grind down the hole until the edge is flat. The inside is beveled, so it won't grab that little bolt head.

I bought a cheap deep socket and took a grinder to it to thin the walls. Works perfect, and it's much cheaper than buying any of the front sight tools.

I used a Craftsman nutdriver. Apparently it has thinner walls than a 1/4" drive 3/16" socket.

I have one I can loan you, but I can't drop it in the mail until I'm back from my business trip (5/5). PM me if you still need it by then.

I met up with another local Calgunner today and was able to get this all taken care of. Man, I LOVE the camaraderie of this place!!!

Thanks again to everyone for their feedback.
