    Porting a barrel.......

    Hey Guys,

I'm wanting to pick up a Taurus 627 6" .357 but they are "off the roster" and as such I can't purchase one new in the state any longer. They do have the model 66 which is similar (but minus the ported barrel), which is on the list. If I were to purchase the model 66 would I be able to have it ported, and what would the cost on something like that be (ballpark)??

I appreciate any info you guys can provide!

i have honestly not experienced any significant improvement with barrel porting on these platforms. I just don't think its worth the money.

EDIT: opps I had the 4" model, sorry.
