    Ruger Mk2 Appraisal

I really really dont want to sell this gun. I love it, and have put thousands of rounds through it. But school comes first, and I dont want to ask my parents for funds.

As such im wondering how much I could get for my pistol. Its pretty clean but it has had alot of use. Rarely does it jam, and its been frequently cleaned, but the finish has some wear.

    Thanks

I might be interested in it, where are you located?

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

200-250 is what that would sell for around my area for one in your condition

great shooters sorry to hear you may have to part with it, but the ruger mk's are everywhere and can be replaced ...

The wear makes it look cooler if you ask me. That is the beauty of the Ruger Mark pistolas. They keep on keeping on.

I would say find a way to keep it. It sounds like you’re attached to it well enough and I would humbly ask my parents for a couple hundred bucks.

If you were holding onto something worth a little more (like a $1000 1911) I wouldn’t hesitate to sell it for other bills.

Maybe “sell” it to your dad that way you can buy it back from him later. It’s a cheaper shooter and I always enjoy shooting the MK2 when I take it out.

                  That being said,
Its a classic; solid, reliable, (cheap) shooter and I would venture to say that it will sell fast and close to $300.

.22s, especially quality and accurate .22s, are hot right now.

I have a Ruger Standard in a little bit better cosmetic condition, with the original box. I wouldn't take less than $350 for it and then only if I was desperate for the money.
