    What the heck!

So Im selling a pistol in the marketplace and I get a PM from a person that is 'Really Interested'.

He wants to know if the sale must go through an FFL.

WTF?? Is he for real? Do you think this forum would be targeted to see if someone can illegally purchase a firearm?

Im looking at all his posts now. I like when he puts an 'Ill take it' on multiple pistols ads within days apart. CA DOJ loves those multiple pistol purchases in 1 month.

So I wont say who it is because I dont know his situation/noobness. But just be careful and view the history of posts by the 'I will take it' guy.

There is no 1 every 30 for Private Party Transfers.

You should refer the "I'll take it" guy to the CGF Wiki. He's got some reading to do.

Not the point - big deal about the multiple PPT...

His question about "Does it have to go through FFL?" is a WARNING SIGN.....
Ask if he's "really interested" in talking to the BATFE...

                  OUT HIM HERE!!!

(Yes, (flamers) I know about C&R rifles)....

Hey now, I'm a noob, but like anything that can potentially land one in prison and/or kill someone- I am doing my homework.

As another poster said, money talks and BS walks. I think asking you to bypass the FFL is suspicious to say the least. It is likely he is attempting, by the very least to avoid the 10 day wait. Perhaps they cannot pass the background check? Also consider that perhaps he is playing the game of numbers. Telling several sellers, "I'll take it." then asking them to bypass the FFL may bring him closer (BTW, why are we assuming he's a he? ) to a seller that says, "Okay." Then it can also be DOJ on the under...it would be best to follow the rules.

                        sounds totally legit

jk don't pay him any time..

BTW looks like you have multiple threads in the "Private Firearm Parts & Accessories Sales"
That is against the rules, you are limited to one thread per subsection...

                        4) Limit your ads to one per Marketplace sub-forum.
When posting within these forums we require that you keep all items to one thread per sub-forum only. If you have multiple items to sell, we expect you to include all of them in one thread in the appropriate forum(s) - e.g. all firearms in one thread in Private Firearms Sales. Members may only start one thread per 72 hour period in each separate Marketplace forum. Multiple threads started for separate items in the same forum by a single member within 72 hours of each other may result in all threads by that member being merged or deleted.

Maybe he's new to this gun thing and is confused about the laws, because you don't need an ffl for c&r... Who knows, don't be such a Richard

Regardless, i think that OP's best move is to tell the guy that they use an FFL or no deal.

I don't know. The seller has the right to sell to whom he wants. This time it was the other guy. Unless the seller said you were first but this guy gets it, you don't really have all the facts to say you got screwed. jmo
